Kaleidoscope Carnival (2022)

Created over the span of two years and 8,000+ miles, Kaleidoscope Carnival is a long distance, quarantine-era collaboration between New Zealand-based Tom Pierard and US-based Tim Fischer. The collection of seven compositions is an eclectic mix of rock, hip-hop, folk, dance, jazz, and experimental electronic music influences, where guitars, synths, drums, and processed vocals swim, sputter, and soar, morphing into something new just as the listener begins to grasp their individual patterns. Tapping into their diverse musical interests and compositional history, Pierard and Fischer seek to create a unique, self-contained sonic atmosphere with each track. For the listener seeking the unexpected, Kaleidoscope Carnival is an audio adventure well worth taking.
